Stripe fees in 2026
Stripe's standard US online card fee is 2.9% + $0.30 per successful charge. For cross-border payments the fee is higher: Stripe adds roughly +1.5% for international cards and about +1% when a currency conversion is involved. So an international, converted payment can cost around 5.4% + $0.30. The calculation is:
fee = amount × (2.9% + 1.5% intl + 1% conversion) + $0.30
net = amount − fee
Example
A $100 international charge with conversion: 5.4% + $0.30 = $5.70 fee, so you keep $94.30.
